Get enough iodine in your diet

Iodine is super important for your health and longevity.
Here is an easy way to check if your body is short of iodine at home:
Buy a little bottle of iodine at a drugstore (you can always use it for cuts and scrapes). Paint a circle on soft skin like an inside of a thigh or a stomach with a cotton ball dipped in iodine. If the circle disappears within an hour or two it means your body craves iodine.

The best way of supplying oneself with iodine without salt is eating kelp. I tried to cook some seaweed once, it stank so bad, I couldn't possibly eat it, I threw it away. So I went online and tried to find foods that weren't disgusting. Turned out these foods contain iodine as well: yogurt, cow's milk, eggs, strawberries and mozzarella cheese. Not as much as kelp, and some people are allergic to some of these foods. Hopefully not to all of them. In that case, or to be sure you're getting enough iodine take kelp supplements.
