Many studies in the US and Europe show that people who have 3 or more orgasms a week live longer than those who don't, and look 10 years younger. Orgasms reduce risk of prostate and breast cancer (if you don't use it, you lose it), increase oxygen flow to the brain making you smarter, make you sleep better, help you crave junk foods less and even support the immune system. It doesn't matter how you reach an orgasm, as far as the health benefits are concerned, so there is no reason to suffer on the account of being single. Oh, and if you have to fake them for the sake of your partner, then you definitely need orgasm supplementation. Here are links to a couple of articles on the subject: An Orgasm a Day Keeps the Doctor Away, and Why Bad Sex is Shortening Your Life
The idea of extending life by means of having lots of great sex is one of the big ones in the book Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. His two main characters achieve immortality by having the world's perfect sex life. As far as that goes, the statistics are that 350 orgasms a year increase your life span by 4 years, 700 orgasms a year - by 8 years, and so forth. No one did any studies to see what would happen if you had few orgasms a day every day. So Tom speculated that we could live forever, combined with proper diet and lots of bathing. It is definitely my favorite book by him. You should all read it, it is perfectly delightful!
