Iron supplements shorten life and cause disease

Life spans of fruit flies were found directly proportionate to their consumption of iron. Mynah birds who live 20 years in the wild, die after only 10 years in captivity due to the high iron content of bird feed. The truth is: iron literally causes your body to rust, so unless you want your blood vessels to look like an old rusty bucket, avoid supplements and cereals containing iron. Beef has 4 mg of iron, fish and poultry contain only between 1 and 2 mg.
Here is a list of fruits and vegetables containing the most iron:
Lima beans, kidney beans, red beans, black beans - 4 mg per 1 cup of cooked beans
Wheat and oats 4 mg
Amaranth leaves 2.98 mg
Buckwheat 2.2 mg
French beans 1.9 mg
Brussels sprouts 1.87 mg
Bock choy 1.77 mg
Dates 1.5 mg
Black currants 1.7 mg
Avocados 1.1 mg
Potatoes 1.87 mg
Pumpkins 1.4 mg
Leeks 1.3 mg
Kale 1.17 mg
Nuts such as almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts

Make sure not to buy any cereals containing added iron.
When you buy multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplements make sure they don't contain iron.
