I didn't believe that cell phone radiation was a big deal, until, after 10 years of using a cell phone, I started getting horrible headaches in the right temple and behind the ear. I stopped using my right ear to talk on the cell phone and the headaches disappeared. But it's only the matter of time before they'll come back on the left side, unless I take some protective measures.
Here is something you can do completely free to protect yourself: First - do not lift the phone to the ear right after dialing, wait until it says, "connected". I read that in the stage just before connecting the cell phone releases the most radiation. Second - avoid holding the phone to the ear at all, keep it as far away from your body as possible by using headphones or a speaker.
